Wellington, FL 05/05/2024 — The ESP Spring IV Horse Show commenced on May 1, 2024 at Equestrian Village and ran through May 5. The opening day featured intense competition across five rings, with Diego Javier Vivero Viteri and Chianti triumphing in the $3,500 1.35m Open Jumper Stake, sponsored by Dever, Inc., delivering a flawless double clear round and a swift jump-off time of 38.62 seconds. Jad Dana on JDP Dougland secured second place, followed by Nataly Leibovitz and Cheers N in third.
Day two ramped up the excitement, concluding with Aaron Vale and I.Adermie R 4 winning the $10,000 1.40m Open Jumper Stake presented by Bainbridge Companies. The hunters shone in the Derby Annex field, with Kierstin Antoniadis and Epic’s La Mia combined score of 176 to win the $2,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby, sponsored by TRM. The $1,500 USHJA Pony Hunter Derby sponsored by the Winston Preparatory School Online saw Lacey Powers and Hidden Springs Last Date lead with a combined score of 163.
On Saturday, Jad Dana and JDP Dougland outperformed the competition in the 1.40m Open Jumper class, sponsored by Bainbridge Companies. The $1,500 NAL/WIHS 1.10m Junior/Amateur Jumper Classic, sponsored by Score At The Top, was won by Katherine Babun and Ciao Du Thot.
The finale on Sunday began with Samantha Kasowitz and Morfine De Muze taking the blue ribbon in the $2,500 NAL 1.30m Junior/Amateur Jumper Classic amidst a field of over 27 competitors. The highlight of the week was the $25,000 Spring IV Grand Prix sponsored by Palm Beach Equine Clinic, where Ashlee Bond fiercely claimed both first and second places on Donatello 141 and Elka de la Pomme, respectively, with Jad Dana and Leonidas finishing third.
