Myakka City, FL (June 7, 2024) – Two Interagro Lusitano geldings climbing the dressage ranks in the USA in the past few months have once again leveled up their show performances. Hectar Interagro (Profano Interagro x Cassandra Interagro) kicked off his CDI career this winter and spring, while Platão Interagro stepped up to Third Level. Both horses are ridden and shown by Portugal’s Tiago Ernesto out of his own Elite Horse Academy. Showing across three months at the Global Dressage Festival, TerraNova Dressage, and the World Equestrian Center, Ocala, both horses also secured their first top finishes at these new levels with exceptional scores.

Hectar Interagro made his CDI debut during March’s Adequan Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) 12 CDI 1-star. Hectar and Ernesto closed out their winter season with a 65.735% in the FEI Prix St. Georges and a 64.676% in the Intermediaire I in their inaugural CDI performance. In the spring, Hectar and Ernesto travelled to TerraNova Equestrian Center’s May CDI, where they captured their first top 5 placings at the international level. The pair took third in the FEI Intermediaire I with a score of 67.000%, and 5th in the FEI Prix St. Georges. Imported to the US in 2022, Hectar Interagro’s classical good looks pair with an exceptional athleticism, including impressive talent for both extensions and collection, graceful, powerful gaits, and an innate bravery and intelligence.

Platão Interagro combines a mix of his sire’s wonderful personality and rideability with the elegance and strength that embody the Interagro standard. With multiple wins and scores at Second Level through 68.258% during the 2024 AGDF National shows, Platão Interagro and Ernesto came down the centerline for the first time at Third Level in April. They scored a 65+ and a 67.7% to finish Second at the World Equestrian Center, Ocala before traveling to TerraNova Equestrian Center in May. There they won both of their Third Level Tests, scoring 65.675% and 68.243%.

Interagro Lusitanos and the Elite Horse Academy would also like to congratulate Tyra Vernon of BREC Dressage on their purchase of the gorgeous and versatile Paragon Interagro. After bringing the liver chestnut gelding for a trial in April at Vernon’s Ocala training center, just a few days later, the contract was signed and Paragon Interagro was be set to begin his career with a new rider. As an exceptional horse with the talent to excel in a variety of disciplines, Interagro Lusitanos and Elite Horse Academy are excited for what the future holds for Paragon and his new owners.
