Strzegom, April 23, 2026 — The second edition of this year’s spring eventing series – Strzegom Spring Open II – has officially begun and will run until Sunday, April 26. Nearly 320 horse-and-rider combinations from 25 nations have gathered at the Strzegom venue, with the level of competition from the very first day confirming the event’s strong international status.
The entry list features some of the biggest names in world eventing, including Olympic individual champion Julia Krajewski and Tokyo Olympic team silver medallist Kevin McNab.
A rich competition programme awaits spectators – from six national classes (CNC 80, 80-18, 90, 90-18, 100, 100-18), through international levels CCI1*-Intro, CCI2*-L, and CCI2*-S, as well as pony competition CCIP2-S, up to the most demanding classes CCI3*-L, CCI3*-S, CCI4*-L, and CCI4*-S.
CCI4*-L – New Zealand rider in the lead
After the dressage phase in the CCI4*-L, New Zealand’s Jesse Campbell on Speedwell leads the standings with 25.5 penalties. France’s Nicolas Touzaint on Diabolo Menthe is second (26.0), while fellow New Zealander Samantha Lissington on Lucas Stone holds third place (28.5).
CCI3*-L – tight competition after dressage
The CCI3*-L dressage is split over two days. After Thursday’s sessions, Samantha Lissington leads on New York with a score of 30.9 penalties. Italy’s Paolo Mario De Simone on Parker D is second (31.9), followed by Ukraine’s Mykola Tomochko on Tedzhen (32.8).
CCI2*-L – international leaders
In the CCI2*-L, China’s Jingjing Wu on Debbi leads after dressage with 29.9 penalties. Australia’s Kevin McNab on Cassie is second (31.6), while, as in the CCI4*-L, Samantha Lissington sits third – this time on Orenzo – with 31.7 penalties.
