Strzegom, 2 August 2026 — Another edition of the Strzegom Summer Tour has come to an end, bringing together nearly 300 horses and riders from 13 countries over four days of international eventing competition at the Morawa venue. Once again, the event confirmed its position as one of the key fixtures on the European eventing calendar, combining top-level sport with the development of young horses and emerging riders.
The programme featured international competitions from CCI1-Intro* to CCI4-S*, alongside national classes. The event also hosted the Polish Youth Olympiad in Eventing, which serves as the Polish Junior Championships, making Strzegom the meeting place for both experienced international athletes and Poland’s most talented young riders.
CCI4*-S – Demanding Cross-Country Reshuffles the Leaderboard
The CCI4*-S delivered the greatest excitement of the weekend. A demanding cross-country course and a particularly challenging optimum time resulted in significant changes to the leaderboard. After Saturday’s show jumping, Germany’s Dirk Schrade was only fifth, but an outstanding cross-country performance moved him to the top of the standings. The difficulty of the course is reflected by the fact that even the winning combination – Dirk Schrade and Bacalar – finished on 49.5 penalty points. Fellow German Emma Hartmann and Baloucor claimed second place on 52.3 penalties, while Jan Matthias and Peppermint Patty FRH completed an all-German podium with 53.3 penalties.
CCI3*-S – German Podium Led by Olympic Champion
The CCI3*-S was won by two-time Olympic team gold medallist Ingrid Klimke. Riding Candy 851, the German star held the lead from the dressage phase through to the finish, winning on 32.8 penalties. Her compatriot Ben Leuwer and Hanami 4 finished second on 36.1 penalties, while Maj-Jonna Ziebell and Creed 5 completed the podium on 38.7 penalties.
CCI2*-S – Home Victory for Daria Kobiernik
Poland celebrated victory in the CCI2*-S, where Daria Kobiernik and Good Boy produced an outstanding performance from start to finish, winning on 28.9 penalties. Dutch rider Merel Blom-Hulsman and Love Of My Life finished second with 31.1 penalties, while Germany’s Ben Leuwer and Modesto RE took third on 32.4 penalties.
CCI1*-Intro – Christoph Wahler Takes the Win
Germany’s Christoph Wahler claimed victory in the CCI1-Intro* aboard Linekers Elegia, finishing on 24.4 penalties. Poland’s Hanna Sergiel and Clouseau secured second place with 27.6 penalties, recording the best result among the home riders, while Germany’s Max Hausser-Knabe and Ajalin WH completed the podium on 31.7 penalties.
Series Standings Updated
The Strzegom Summer Tour also counted towards the DCU Strzegom Tour and Strzegom Rising Stars Tour series. Following this stage, Czech rider Miroslav Trunda leads the DCU Strzegom Tour, which offers a total prize fund of €10,000, while Zofia Ustimiuk remains at the top of the Strzegom Rising Stars Tour standings.

The Strzegom Summer Tour once again confirmed Morawa’s position as one of Europe’s leading eventing venues. The Organising Committee would like to thank all riders, horse owners, trainers, sponsors, partners, volunteers, and spectators for contributing to four unforgettable days of competition.
The season in Strzegom is far from over. The next event, Strzegom Autumn Show, will take place on 3–6 September, followed by the Strzegom October Festival on 8–11 October, bringing the 2026 season in Morawa to a close.
