The $25,000 BarnWalkers Grand Prix wrapped up competition for ESP Fall II. A total of thirty-four competitors tried their hand at the course, with eleven returning for the jump-off. Besting the field of talent and earning both the blue and red ribbon was Canada’s Erynn Ballard. Ballard had a total of five entries in the class, with three coming back to try their hand at the shortened track. Narcotique V/H Dingenshof, owned by Ilan Ferder, was her winning ride, putting in quick and double-clear rides with a time of 36.576 seconds in the jump-off.
“Narco [Narcotique V/H Dingenshof] I’ve had for a little over a year. We’ve done big things. She’s jumped in many Nations Cups and a lot of the Major League classes,” Ballard explained. “We didn’t use her in [CSI] Greenwich and Tryon [International], she stayed home, so we’re using her here and then we’ll probably use her at the 3* FEI show [ESP Pre Charity CSI 3*] in a couple of weeks here in Wellington.”
