Poland Eventing Teams Heading to Paris in 2024

(Last Updated On: May 21, 2023)

Team Poland have secured their place at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games by winning the FEI Eventing Designated Olympic Qualifier at Baborówko (POL).

The Polish team, under the leadership of Germany’s Andreas Dibowski, were up against Hungary and the Czech Republic at the three-day competition for Group C nations in Central Europe, where just the one qualifying slot was on offer.

Poland dominated the action from Day 1, winning the Dressage phase by over 9 points, then having all four riders successfully complete the cross country with only time penalties incurred, followed by an equally successful jumping phase where they added just 9.2 points to their overall team score.

For the Czech Republic and Hungary, things were not quite so smooth. The Czech Republic had one horse retire after the first Horse Inspection, while Hungary had to contend with one elimination and one withdrawal on cross country day.
