Strzegom, 27 April 2026 — Strzegom Spring Open II has come to an end. Over four days, nearly 320 combinations from 25 nations competed at the Morawa venue, taking part in classes ranging from national levels to the most demanding four-star competitions. The high sporting level and close competition meant that final results were decided by fine margins – above all on the challenging cross-country courses and the final show jumping rounds.

This year’s edition once again confirmed its strong sporting status, attracting the world’s top riders. Among the participants were Olympic medallists, including Germany’s individual Olympic champion from Tokyo, Julia Krajewski, as well as France’s Karim Florent Laghouag and Nicolas Touzaint, both multiple Olympic team medallists.

CCI4*-L – decided in the final round

The premier competition of the event, CCI4*-L, was decided in the final show jumping phase. New Zealand’s Jesse Campbell, riding Speedwell, delivered a clear round to secure victory with a final score of 27.1 penalties. French riders filled the remaining podium places – Nicolas Touzaint on Diabolo Menthe finished second after one rail down (30.0), while Karim Florent Laghouag on Dream De Vieve took third place (32.0), posting the fastest round of the day.

CCI4*-S – show jumping proves decisive

The final results of the CCI4*-S were also determined in the show jumping arena, where key changes occurred at the top of the leaderboard. New Zealand’s Samantha Lissington, riding Delarado, claimed victory with a score of 30.2 penalties. Germany’s Julia Krajewski on Tullabeg Platinum moved up to second place (31.5), while overnight leader Malin Hansen-Hotopp dropped to third after one rail down, finishing on 31.9 penalties.

CCI3*-L – second win for Lissington

In the CCI3*-L, Samantha Lissington secured her second victory of the Strzegom Spring Open, this time riding New York. Despite adding time penalties, she finished on 32.9 to take the win. Belgium’s Lara De Liedekerke-Meier on Call Me Senorita placed second (33.0), while Denmark’s Annika Andersen on Apollo Creed completed the podium (35.7).

National classes – strong performances across all levels

There was no shortage of sporting excitement in the national competitions. In CNC 80-18, Czech rider Tina Knoblochová on Esme 4 claimed victory, while Poland’s Aleksandra Bartkiewicz on Babiniec-PGN won the CNC 80 class.

Germany’s Zoé Deusing riding Ucello 14 won CNC 90, while Liliana Brodziak from Poland on Bankier triumphed in CNC 90-18.

The best result in CNC 100 went to Poland’s Paweł Warszawski on Channsett, while Belgium’s Chiara Meier on Ducati D’Arville won CNC 100-18.

Tour leaders after the first events

Strzegom Spring Open also determined the current leaders of this season’s competition series. In the DCU Strzegom Tour, with a prize fund of €10,000, Anna Siemer leads the standings after the April events. In the Strzegom Rising Stars Tour, Nina Koniak holds the top position.

Thank you and see you soon

Strzegom Spring Open once again confirmed its position as one of the key fixtures of the European eventing season. A high level of sport, strong international field, and demanding courses created a top-class spectacle.

The next opportunity to follow world-class eventing in Strzegom will come in June during Strzegom Horse Trials, which will include, among others, a prestigious Nations Cup competition.
