Weather Conditions and Horse Welfare

In response to the forecast for high temperatures, the Organising Committee adjusted the competition schedule, with all classes taking place during the cooler hours to provide the safest possible conditions for both horses and athletes.

Throughout the event, the competition remained under the supervision of the District Veterinary Inspectorate. Veterinarians, including the FEI Veterinary Delegate, continuously monitored the health and welfare of the horses. All horses completed the competition in good condition.

International eventing competitions have been held in Strzegom for 23 years. Throughout that time, the safety of participants and the welfare of horses have remained the Organising Committee’s highest priorities, consistently recognised in the reports of the FEI Technical Delegate.

During the four days of competition, horses benefited from purpose-built stabling with appropriate ventilation, dedicated cooling areas, and continuous access to water and ice. The event was overseen by an experienced team of FEI officials, judges, stewards, and veterinarians, ensuring that the competition was conducted in full accordance with FEI standards.

The Organising Committee, together with technical, medical, and veterinary teams and the event partners, worked throughout the competition to ensure the smooth running of the event while maintaining the highest standards of safety and horse welfare.

We would like to thank everyone involved in delivering the 2026 LOTTO Strzegom Horse Trials and congratulate all the winners. Our special congratulations go to Team Poland for providing unforgettable sporting moments throughout four days of competition.

We look forward to welcoming riders, teams, and spectators back to Strzegom for future international competitions.
