Geneva, 30 May 2023 – For more than 60 years, the Jumping International de La Baule has hosted the world’s best horse and rider combinations on the picturesque shores of the Atlantic Ocean in western France. This year, the historic show will run over four days from 8-11 June, and will conclude on Sunday 11 June with the Rolex Grand Prix Ville de La Baule, held in the François André stadium.

The show has a deep-rooted history in equestrianism, harnessing the tradition of the sport while embracing innovation with a continual passion for perfection. The pinnacle of the show comes from the Rolex Grand Prix of La Baule, which requires riders and horses to be in complete harmony as they strive for the precision, agility, and pace required to be victorious.

Alongside the elite-level competition, the Jumping International de La Baule showcases talent at all career stages. With a range of young horse and amateur classes, the show fosters the transfer of knowledge between generations, providing the opportunity for future stars to compete alongside experienced counterparts. Meanwhile, the Nations Cup at La Baule fosters teamwork and collaboration as 10 of the best national teams from around the world face each other in a test of athleticism, concentration, and strategy.

This year’s edition of the Jumping International de La Baule will include one of the sport’s most exciting young talents, Britain’s Harry Charles, the Under-25 World No. 1. He will be joined by Brazil’s Rodrigo Pessoa, one of the world’s most decorated show jumpers, having won multiple Grands Prix, as well as individual World and Olympic medals.

Looking ahead to the show, Pessoa stated: “The Jumping International de La Baule is one of the most spectacular shows on the calendar and one that all of the riders want to compete at. The Rolex Grand Prix Ville de La Baule is sure to be fitting conclusion to the four days of top-level competition located in one of the most beautiful settings in the world.”
